| | | | Hi there. PNP sues Sara for 'assault,' AFP revamps her security
The blowback is real: VP Sara Duterte is feeling the heat from an administration piqued at her antics, with the police filing assault, disobedience, and grave coercion cases against her, and the AFP also announcing a revamp of her security detail.
Reacting to ex-President Rodrigo Duterte's call for the military to "correct" the alleged "fractured governance" of President Marcos, AFP chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr. rejected "military adventurism" and said the AFP "will remain professional."
There is a "well-funded and orchestrated" troll campaign to discredit the House inquiry into the links between the illegal drug trade and offshore gaming operations, said Rep. Robert Ace Barbers, quad committee lead chair.
A ceasefire between Israel and Iran-backed group Hezbollah brokered by the US and France came into effect at 0200 GMT on Wednesday, promising to end a conflict that has killed thousands of people since it was ignited by the Gaza war last year.
Urges today's editorial: "In dealing with the ticking time bombs that the Dutertes have become, the government must pursue to its logical conclusion its probe on the possible plunder of confidential funds given to Sara Duterte."
