The collection window for direct reporting of 2020 AVETMISS fee-for-service activity reported directly to NCVER is due by 5pm (ACDT) Friday 26 February 2021.

If you are reporting fee-for-service activity via a state training authority (STA) then please check their deadlines as they may be earlier.

New titles: COVID-19 & skills reform

Released by the Australian Government Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, the Heads of Agreement for Skills Reform sets out national reforms for the VET sector.

Consultations currently underway are focused on strengthening the roles of industry and employers, improving VET qualifications, and raising the quality of training.

• Education: In the 2020-21 Budget, the Federal Government announced a scoping study to inform the development of a new national framework for foundation skills.
• Mining, Drilling & Civil Infrastructure: in 2019 there were around 66,180 enrolments in the Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package, and 11,240 completions.
