DHA Hospitals Honored for Surgical Excellence The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program has recognized three Defense Health Agency hospitals for their outstanding surgical care. Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, and Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center are among 77 facilities honored by this program. The recognition is based on how well they prevent complications and improve outcomes for surgical patients.
