It's been 10 years and about 800 stories. More keystrokes have been tapped, story drafts revised, and jargon-filled scientific papers pored over than anybody cares to count. There have been stories on advances in immunotherapy and targeted therapies, cancer's complex biological underbelly, preventing and treating side effects, and much more. To mark our 10th anniversary, we've gathered a collection of our past stories that capture what Cancer Currents is all about: Bringing the cancer community scientifically accurate and meaningful news stories, often with the perspective of experts at NCI, about the research we're all counting on to save more lives from cancer. We've picked a few stories from each year to share. Some of these stories reported paradigm-changing findings, while others described the first hints of something big on the horizon, or discussed important issues and topics that may not get the attention they deserve. So, as we begin a new year, we hope you enjoy this trip through recent cancer research history, and thanks for being part of our 10 years as a trusted source of cancer news.
