Justin Trudeau poised to quit

Justin Trudeau is poised to resign as the leader of Canada's Liberal Party, a move that adds confusion to chaos in Ottawa.

The three-term prime minister arrived home from a Christmas ski holiday to an open revolt in his caucus unleashed by the stealth resignation of Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland on Dec. 16.

The prime minister is expected to announce the news at 10:45 a.m. Monday morning outside his official home at Rideau Cottage.
