In a new blog, AHRQ Director Robert Otto Valdez. Ph.D., M.H.S.A., introduces a series of  blog posts authored by members of the Agency's National Advisory Council about the future of healthcare quality. The Council's role is to provide advice to AHRQ's director on Agency activities and priorities, and each blog post offers ideas on improving quality in one of four important areas: nursing home/rehabilitation care, behavioral healthcare, home healthcare, and hospice care. Each blog post takes into consideration the Nation's rapidly changing demographics and the prospects of enhancing quality measures to advance safe and effective care.
