Officials said that eight people died and seven others were injured Saturday after a gunman opened fire at an outdoor mall north of Dallas, Texas. The alleged gunman died after a confrontation with police at the Allen Premium Outlets, the scene of the shooting, Allen Police Department officials said. Officials said nine additional people were transferred to hospitals, where two later died. The hospitalized victims' ages range from 5 to 61 years old, authorities said. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded at about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday to the outlets in the Dallas suburb, where an active shooter incident had been reported. The violence was the second deadliest mass shooting in the U.S. this year and the second in Texas in a little over a week. (read more) |

The FBI is running out of time to provide documents to House Republicans relating to an alleged bribery scandal that involves President Joe Biden. Wednesday, May 10 is the deadline for the FBI to comply with the request. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., filed a subpoena alongside Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, seeking the documents they say link Biden to extensive bribery allegations during his time as Vice President. "We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States," Grassley explained. ABC's "This Week" host and former White House communications director under Clinton, George Stephanopoulos, discussed the findings of a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll on Sunday. Details were provided by ABC News Political Director Rick Klein, whom Stephanopoulos introduced. "The skepticism over his leadership extends deep inside his own party," Klein said of President Joe Biden. Klein cited the poll's finding that only 36% of Democrats thought the incumbent should seek reelection as evidence. According to Klein, in a hypothetical 2024 presidential fight between Biden and former President Donald Trump, Biden is now 9 points behind Trump among independents. In the 2020 election, Biden had a 75 percent lead over Trump among black voters; now, that margin is only 35 points. It's clear that the American people don't want another Biden term. (read more) |

In true Michael Scott fashion (for The Office fans out there), two tourists followed their GPS right into a body of water. The pair of tourists were driving a Dodge Caravan in Hawaii when the incident occurred. Unfamiliar with the area, the tourists were relying on the turn-by-turn directions of their GPS. All was fine until the GPS led them to the Kailua-Kona's Honokohau Small Boat Harbor. Following the directions exactly, the driver plunged the van directly into the harbor. To make matters even more bizarre, a witness said the plunge into the harbor didn't seem to faze the tourists. "It took us a second to figure out what was going on because they didn't seem panicked or have any sense of urgency to get out of the car," the bystander explained.
