BREAKING NEWS: Trump-endorsed Michels wins GOP nod for governor of Wisconsin

Republican businessman Tim Michels has won the Wisconsin GOP gubernatorial primary, setting up one of the most competitive governor's races of the year.

Michels, who had the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, emerged from a contentious race against former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch, who was supported by both former Vice President Mike Pence and former Gov. Scott Walker.

Michels will face Democratic Gov. Tony Evers in November, in what is expected to be a highly competitive race for governor of the battleground state. See here for full coverage.
