RSVP to talk Trust Exercise with Susan Choi

Dear book clubbers,

The dogwood tree outside my window has finally gone bare, so despite the unseasonable warmth of the past few days, it seems November is here in earnest. Time to move into a wintering frame of mind, to think about blankets and candles and mugs of hot chocolate. And books, of course, because what are a blanket and candle and hot chocolate without a book?

Our November pick Trust Exercise is not exactly a cozy read, but it's immersive and twisty and exactly what I want from a book when the world feels unstable and confusing. And author Susan Choi is one of those people who thinks about the world with such precision and clarity that her brilliance is downright intimidating. I can't wait for all of us to bask in the glow of her genius at this month's live event.

COMING UP IN NOVEMBER

Speaking of our event, the RSVP link is now live! Sign up now, and we'll see you there on Monday, November 30, at 5 pm ET, live on Zoom.

We'll publish our Trust Exercise discussion post to the site on Friday, November 20. Meet us there in the comments and tell us what you think.

There are no Vox book links this week because the election took over the whole site. We'll remedy that next week with coverage of the National Book Awards and Barack Obama's new memoir!

Until then, happy reading.

Constance
