The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved an amendment to the "Utah Medicaid Reform Section 1115 Demonstration." Approval of this amendment gives the state authority to provide (1) health-related social needs (HRSN) services and infrastructure support and (2) non-medical transportation (NMT) to and from HRSN services. This amendment also allows the state to expand eligibility for (1) dental services to all Medicaid-eligible adults and (2) fertility preservation services for individuals up to age 50 that have been diagnosed with cancer.
This demonstration is effective through June 30, 2027. Today's approval and other administrative documents can be found on the Medicaid.gov demonstration page.
