Nevada is looking to cover acute inpatient stays in IMDs for Medicaid-eligible individuals ages 21 years–64 years with SMI/SED, including treatment rendered at State psychiatric hospitals. Doing so will allow the state to be in alignment with CMS' expectation of achieving a statewide average length of stay of 30 days for beneficiaries receiving care in IMDs. Nevada also plans to begin providing support for health related social needs, specifically stable housing and nutrition supports. The federal comment period will be open from December 11, 2024 through January 9, 2025.

Pending Application
