Former President Trump lambasted the House Select Committee on January 6 and its primetime session Thursday night as "totally partisan," while undermining his daughter's testimony, stating she "accepted" then-Attorney General Bill Barr's determination that the 2020 presidential election was not rigged. On Thursday night, members of the Jan. 6 committee said Trump incited a crowd of domestic opponents to attack the Capitol in an attempt to undermine American democracy and sway the 2020 presidential race. Lawmakers on the committee also showed footage of interviews and depositions with former top Trump officials, including one from Attorney General Bill Barr and Trump's daughter, Ivanka, before the select committee. Dividend growth investment might be a great strategy to generate steady income throughout retirement. Markets fluctuate, but dividends generally increase, primarily when investing in high-quality companies. Due to the fact that most corporations distribute dividends every quarter, investors who require consistent monthly cash flows may suffer some uncertainty due to the payment schedule. The good news is that various securities pay monthly dividends, ensuring a consistent income stream. REITs, which are obligated by law to disperse the great majority of their revenue in dividends, are among our favorite monthly paying equities. (read more) |

Jamie Greene, her boyfriend Carlos Pacheco, and their three children had enjoyed a weeklong vacation in Aruba, but things took a turn for the worst as they were attempting to get back home to New Jersey. Greene says her 15-year-old son, Elijah Kapatos, has low-functioning, non-verbal autism and began to scream "toilet" after boarding a United Airlines flight. Greene says that is his way of communicating that something is wrong. "I gave him gentle nudge and we made it to our seats, then he lost control. He refused to sit, and Jamie and I had to hold him down," said Pacheco. The couple said they gave the boy some fast-acting medicine prescribed for such incidents, but the behavior continued until a captain asked the family to get off the plane. The family was left stranded in Aruba. Eventually Pacheco said he and the other children flew back separately because they needed to get back to school. So, whatever happened to Green and her autistic son who had to stay put on the island? (read more) |
