Join NIMH researchers Peter Schmidt, M.D., Sarah Rudzinskas, Ph.D., and Sarah Spector, MSN, FNP-C, for a Facebook Live event as they discuss the signs, symptoms, treatments, and latest research on the transition to menopause and depression.

Depression is common among women. Certain types of depression can occur at different stages of a woman's life, including during the transition to menopause, called perimenopause. Women experiencing depressive symptoms such as persistent irritability, anxiety, sadness, or loss of enjoyment may be experiencing perimenopausal depression.
