💪 How Retail Investors Figured Out How to Profit from Market Drops 💪

It's the monthly jobs numbers today and they're not going to be pretty and will be possibly the tip of the iceberg as we head into May.

Good morning. Investors sometime take a very binary approach to stocks. They're either all-in on a position, or they're in cash or a different trade. Rather than buy all at once, however, astute traders know when to average in. As long as a company's prospects don't fundamentally change, this move allows investors to still have the option of cash, with the ability to buy more shares of a company when the market declines.

So while Goldman Sachs (GS) recently warned clients not to buy Monday's drop, retail investors saw a dip to buy instead. With stocks hitting resistance at their short-term moving averages, that's certainly a good time to put some money to work and accumulate more shares of positions already owned. Somehow, retail investors have figured out that buying the dips tends to work well over time.

Now here's the rest of the news:

Final week to invest in the soil poised to leverage the growth of the rapidly expanding, $38 billion cannabis industry
The cannabis industry is expected to exceed $38 billion by 2025 – practically doubling from today. And while not everyone wants to get their hands dirty investing in the plant, you can put your green in the soil that makes it all possible.

You can't grow legal cannabis or hemp without soil and investing in Good Earth Organics' certified organic soils and amendments is the perfect way to make some green off the legalization wave.

GEO is one of the few certified organic national brands on the market, and that's a big deal as growers are increasingly converting to organic soil due to its quality, safety, and increased regulation. In fact, 59% of growers are entirely organic and more than 70% are part way there.

In addition, GEO has already seen 40% YoY revenue growth in 2019 and 2020 and 50% YoY revenue growth in the first quarter of 2021.

Is Big Blue Finally a Buy?

What's old can often be new again in tech. Case in point? International Business Machines (IBM). The tech giant is starting to show some signs of life as it pivots away from computer mainframes and more towards software and services.

That allowed the company to see a 3 percent rise in revenue compared to a year ago. Compared to its history of losses over the past few years, it looks like a start in the right direction.

Housing Starts Accelerate

US housing starts increased to 1.64 million, up 6.3 percent from 1.55 million in May, beating expectations. Housing starts are now 29.1 percent higher compared to a year ago. The rising start numbers reflect a nationwide housing shortage, and that supply chain and material shortages may not go away in the housing space anytime soon.
Traders Bet on Further Drop in Oil

The one-two punch of an OPEC+ deal and a potential slowdown from the Delta covid variant caused traders to make bets on oil prices to fall further, just weeks after some were betting that prices would hit $100 per barrel again. Oil prices are now 14 percent below their recent highs, which was also a 7-year high for the commodity. Monday's drop represented the biggest decline since September.

Three opioid distributers have settled a lawsuit with the state of New York. As part of the settlement, the companies will pay $1.1 billion towards opioid abatement efforts in the state. Without all of you we wouldn't be able to do what we do on a daily basis and for that we say thank you. We've been living our dream for many years now and that wouldn't be possible without every single one of you. The idea of going from a typical nine to five life to a life of freedom doesn't seem real to most people, but we want you to know it is definitely possible. We've done it. You have the power to control your life, your actions, and what you choose to focus on. We're here to help you along that journey to achieve whatever goals you set out for yourself. What are you biggest dreams? Is it to travel all the time, to learn how to cook, to finally plant that garden, or maybe just to find the time to do yoga every day? Whatever it is for you, take a second and write it down on a notepad and stick it somewhere that you will see and be reminded of your WHY every single day. Maybe on your bathroom mirror, maybe on your fridge. It doesn't matter where you put it, the important thing is that you are reminded every single day about why you get up and what you are working towards. It doesn't who's advice you follow or what tools you use to make it real, the most powerful thing you can do is to remind yourself on a daily basis of what you're trying to accomplish and why you're doing it. Our goal here is to help you reach whatever it is you want most in life and we help you reach it through the avenue that has allowed us to reach our own best lives. We want the same for you, however it may look in your own life. We are here to help guide you toward that vision as quickly as we possible can. That is our WHY. Why are we so passionate about teaching music? Because we believe every human shares a deep, natural connection to music. Across countries, through the ages, and for every individual on the planet, music is a universal force for connection and self-expression like no other. Imagine a world where every individual feels empowered to create and express themselves through music – becoming not just a music lover and music listener, but an active music maker too. A world where it's self-evident that anybody can learn to sing, dance, play an instrument, and express their own original ideas through music. A world where "learning music" means more than just learning to play an instrument. It means becoming a musician. Our vision is a world where every person feels naturally able to become a capable, creative and expressive musician. However, we also care about keeping you and your privacy safe.
