Education Secretary Betsy DeVos submitted her resignation letter Thursday, two department officials confirmed to POLITICO.
DeVos, one of a half-dozen members of President Donald Trump's Cabinet who has lasted for the duration of his term, cited Trump's rhetoric surrounding the Capitol riots as an "inflection point" for her.
