THE BAHÁ'Í WORLD PUBLICATION | Historic series resumes with new print volume | BAHÁ'Í WORLD CENTRE — A remarkable story unfolds through the pages of a newly released volume of The Bahá'í World. It is an account of millions of people around the world learning to contribute to the spiritual and social advancement of their societies.
In describing the significance of this publication in a message to all Bahá'í National Spiritual Assemblies, the Universal House of Justice stated: "…this new volume presents the growing experience of the Bahá'í community as an example of the potentialities within the human race to overcome conflict and division, to create new patterns of thought and human interaction, and to lay the foundations of a world that embodies the principle of the oneness of humankind."
The publication of the 35th volume marks the resumption of The Bahá'í World publication, which was first established in 1926 by Shoghi Effendi shortly after the start of his ministry as Guardian in 1921.
Covering the period from 2006 to 2021, this latest volume offers insights into a time of significant development in the worldwide Bahá'í community, as growing numbers of people throughout the world were animated by the vision and teachings of Bahá'u'lláh to serve their fellow human beings and to contribute to spiritual and social progress.
Richly illustrated with photographs, and the inclusion of artwork from around the world, the 455-page volume invites readers to explore emerging patterns of thought and action, evolving approaches to material and spiritual education, and an unfolding administrative system—all rooted in the conviction that humanity is but one family.
While many functions originally envisioned for The Bahá'í World publication are now being fulfilled by various websites and publications—including a dedicated website, Bahai.org, the Bahá'í World News Service, For the Betterment of the World, The Bahá'ís magazine, and official international and national Bahá'í websites—the resumption of this book form publication marks the continuation of an important historical record of the development of the Bahá'í Faith.
The cloth-bound book will soon be made available by the United States Bahá'í Distribution Service. | | | New essay highlights biodiversity loss, recasting relationship with nature | | | | New articles explore reconciliation, identity, modernity | | | | New article examines the pursuit of social justice | | | Follow BWNS for regular updates | | Dear Edward Lorilla, you are receiving this email because you subscribed to the Bahá'í World News Service (BWNS) at news.bahai.org/subscribe/.
