The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved an amendment to Vermont's section 1115 demonstration, "Global Commitment to Health." Approval of this amendment gives the state authority to provide health-related social needs (HRSN) services and infrastructure support, close the Substance Used Disorder (SUD) Community Intervention and Treatment (CIT) coverage gap by expanding eligibility for the CIT expansion group for eligible beneficiaries up to and including 225 percent of the federal poverty level (FPL), expand Developmental Disabilities Services benefits, and support transition of most Community Rehabilitation and Treatment (CRT) and Mental Health Under 22 services currently covered under the demonstration to the Medicaid state plan.

This demonstration is effective through December 31, 2027. Today's approval and other administrative documents can be found on the Medicaid.gov demonstration page.
