- October 25, 2024, is the next application due date for the Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) for Undergraduate-Focused Institutions (PAR-24-152). This program supports small-scale research grants at institutions that do not receive substantial National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding, with an emphasis on providing biomedical research experiences for undergraduate students. Institutions with a mission to educate students from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply.
