Hi there. Grim days as 13 die from 'Enteng' landslides, flooding


At least 13 people were killed in floods and landslides following nonstop rains brought by "Enteng," with the severe weather disturbance leading to hundreds of families evacuated, 14 seaports closed, 67 flights canceled, and work and classes suspended.


The COA has flagged the Department of Education over its 2023 feeding program, citing delayed,  expired, or outright non-delivery of nutribun and milk intended for students in three regions. The House is also scrutinizing the DepEd's P8-B laptop deal.


After 169 foreigners, mostly Chinese, were rounded up in a raid on an alleged scam farm fronting as a POGO hub in Cebu, Malacañang warned that it will run after LGU officials who are found to be negligent or are harboring POGOs in their locality.


Davao's police chief says they're exhausted from the Quiboloy manhunt but "we're almost there," as the search for the fugitive sect leader continues. Authorities are asking those familiar with the structures in Quiboloy's compound to share the information with them.


In Opinion, columnist Richard Heydarian declares: "The mystique of Dutertismo has lost its grip on the national imagination, thanks to the blunders of the father (now clearer in retrospect and sans a climate of fear) and the brazen incompetence of his offspring."
