PH returns to global mart with fresh dollar bonds


The Marcos administration is set to return to the international debt market with the sale of more US dollar-denominated bonds. It was unclear as of press time how much the government is raising this time around, with the Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) saying only it was "benchmark-sized." The term generally means at least $500 million.

Energy exploration firms apply for 5 concessions


Nine companies from here and abroad are seeking energy exploration service contracts in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and other parts of the Philippines, the government said Wednesday. In a statement, the Department of Energy (DOE) said it conducted on Tuesday the opening of bids for the first BARMM Conventional Energy Bid Round.
