CBS News Sunday Morning to air a segment about the making of the National WWI Memorial in Washington, D.C. Tune in this Sunday, September 1, as CBS News Sunday Morning interviews WWI Memorial architect Joe Weishaar and sculptor Sabin Howard about the making of the National WWI Memorial in D.C. "We're so excited CBS Sunday Morning chose to do a piece on the newest national war memorial in our nation's capital, " said Meredith Carr, Deputy Director of the WWI Centennial Commission. The segment is hosted by Faith Salie, a contributor to CBS News Sunday Morning,known for her witty commentary and thoughtful essays on a variety of cultural and societal topics. Salie talks with Joe and Sabin, visits the memorial with each of them, and focuses on the journey of getting the memorial and sculpture approved and built.
