Thanks to Sheryl Miller for copy editing. | | | 1 big thing: Trump's conspiracy binge | | | | Illustration: Sarah Grillo/Axios | | Former President Trump's reposts on Truth Social have grown more frequent and more vitriolic as polls suggest he's losing ground to Vice President Harris, Axios' David Lindsey and Dave Lawler write. π± Just in the last 48 hours, he has reposted... - A series of messages that contain frequent QAnon sayings, including "nothing can stop what's coming," a popular saying by QAnon conspiracists, and "WWG1WGA," short for "Where we go one, we go all."
- Fake images showing prominent Democrats in prison garb and calling for former President Obama to be subject to "military tribunals."
- An image of Harris and Hillary Clinton that included a lewd and misogynistic comment about their careers.
Trump is also veering off message in other forums. - In an interview with Dr. Phil this week, he suggested Harris may have wanted him to get shot.
⚡️ Why it matters: Few undecided voters hang out on Truth Social, but the posts provide a taste of the stew of rage and conspiracy theories Trump and some of his most ardent supporters are consuming — often at the expense of issues that are much more salient to many more voters. π Our thought bubble: Tax breaks for retirement savings disproportionately benefit the wealthy, Axios' Felix Salmon writes. - Accumulating $1 million in a 401(k) is only an option for people who work somewhere that offers one, probably with a generous match, and who can afford to save the legal maximum every year.

π€ What's next: ESPN is considering offering a personalized, AI-driven form of "SportsCenter" in the streaming app it plans to launch next year. - Users would choose which games they wanted covered, and AI would generate a broadcast of the highlights.
