Cummins, a maker of diesel engines, is defying the recent IPO dry spell by releasing an engine filtration unit on the market this coming Friday. Cummins defied the tumultuous markets on Thursday, when uncertainty about a deal on the U.S. debt ceiling was shaking investors' confidence, by setting the IPO price of its unit at over $275 million. A corporate press statement states that 14.1 million shares of Atmus Filtration Technologies were sold at $19.50 each. The share price falls in the middle of the company's prior $18-$21 range. Atmus is worth $1.6 billion after the IPO. The company's shares will debut under the ticker symbol "ATMU" on the New York Stock Exchange. After the IPO, Cummins will have ownership of about 83% of the company's shares. (read more) |

Right now, they're men at war. But I think, deep down, they want what's best for the GOP (and America.) That makes me think that, ultimately, instead of dividing our party and our nation, these two will eventually team up, putting egos aside. While I wouldn't dare predict who would be running for President and who would be the VP, I do think it could happen. What about you? On a scale of 1-10 (with 1 being not a snowball's chance in Hell and 10 being a sure bet), how likely do you think that before it's all said and done, Trump and DeSantis will be running on the same ticket? Recommended Link: Is Big Tech, with the help of Russia, censoring an imminent attack on American patriots? You've probably already noticed them de platforming patriots. They banned Trump from Twitter and Facebook. They tore Parler from the internet. And they're even silencing everyday Americans. It seems Big Tech is intent on turning the whole internet woke. And muzzling anyone with a patriotic opinion. But do they have an even more sinister agenda? The Committee on Homeland Security recently declassified a shocking report. |

President Joe Biden is taking a lot of heat from his fellow Democrats for allegedly failing to provide adequate leadership during the current debt ceiling impasse. As shown by polling data, Democrats are angry that President Biden is letting House Speaker Kevin McCarthy set the tone for the public's understanding of the negotiations. Politico interviewed numerous Democrats who were unhappy with Biden's plan, and their views were mostly critical of the president. It's unlikely that Biden will make any sort of public appearance this weekend. He'll spend Friday at Camp David before heading back to Delaware on Sunday. The news outraged Democrats. (read more) | |

Stocks are currently on the mend following last year's bad market. The Nasdaq has been the major winner, gaining 20% on the year while riding the tech stocks. The leading S&P 500 index has increased by 8%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has been stable so far this year. The highest gains have been made in technology equities, particularly those related to artificial intelligence, while the performance of the finance and healthcare sectors has lagged behind the overall market. In addition, there are still a lot of hazards, from possible debt default and slow Chinese economic expansion to a possible recession and lingering geopolitical problems. For these reasons, it's critical to maintain vigilance and keep up with economic and stock market changes. (read more) |

Norwegian government officials are telling residents to stay away from a friendly beluga whale swimming along the country's shoreline. The adorable whale, nicknamed Hvaldimir, is believed to be a Russian "spy." "We have always communicated that the whale in question is a free-living animal and we see no reason to capture it and put it behind barriers," said Frank Bakke-Jensen, the director of the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries. He added that the whale's movements are being monitored by marine officials. Here's where the whale has been spotted doing in recent weeks and why experts say they believe he's a Russian spy.
