U.S. officials claim that four months ago, a Chinese spy balloon off the coast of Hawaii crashed into the Pacific Ocean. In addition, despite the former president's denials, there is information that at least one Chinese surveillance balloon passed over parts of Texas and Florida during the Trump administration. Biden administration officials claim this isn't the first time Chinese surveillance balloons have transited the continental U.S. (learn more) | |

Before we headed into the weekend, I asked you guys if you thought we should shoot down the Chinese spy balloon before it had a chance to traverse the entire nation. And we may never be able to recover all of the technology before it sinks to the bottom of the ocean. Here are the 10 biggest questions we need to ask (and have answered) about Biden's handling of the Chinese spy balloon situation. (read more) |

A new poll shows that while President Biden mulls a re-election bid, the majority of Democrats are not on board with a second term for him because they lack faith in his leadership. A poll conducted by the Associated Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research revealed that only 37% of likely Democratic voters believe Biden should run for president again in the 2024 cycle, a significant drop from the 52% who held this view just a few short months earlier. There's no doubt about it: Investing can be exciting. Every day, the financial news headlines seem to feature stocks that have doubled in price overnight or cryptocurrencies that have made instant millionaires. However, these stories often overlook the countless others who have lost fortunes in pursuit of "get rich quick" investments. The unfortunate truth for impatient investors is that consistent, "boring" investments — not risky speculations — are the key to generating lifelong wealth over the long run. While you might occasionally snag a big score, you're just as likely to lose it all on the next one. A luxury car was found dangling inside a car dealership after a mishap left the expensive vehicle in a precarious situation that resulted in extensive damage. The Roma Ferrari, which is estimated to be worth at least $250,000, was brought to a high-end car dealership in Palm Beach County, Florida by its owner. While driving the vehicle to a third-floor parking garage that is part of the multi-level car dealership, the owner used a special vehicle elevator. Somehow, the elevator malfunctioned and caused a scary incident that required the driver to escape a dangerous situation. "When the car got about half out the elevator gave way. The driver got out and the car was holding up the elevator but it finally gave way and pulled the car into the shaft area," the dealership posted on its Facebook page. Here's how much damage was done, and how long it took crews to extract the car from the elevator shaft. (read more) |

On Saturday, China's Foreign Ministry addressed the shot down spy balloon that had been floating in United States airspace for several days by saying it "strongly disapproves of and protests" the decision to take it down, adding it may take unspecified "responses" to the action. "China strongly disapproves of and protests against the U.S. attack on a civilian unmanned airship by force. The Chinese side has, after verification, repeatedly informed the U.S. side of the civilian nature of the airship and conveyed that its entry into the U.S. due to force majeure was totally unexpected," the Foreign Ministry said. It went on to say that the use of force by the U.S. was an overreaction and serious violation of international practice. This response came a day after the U.S. was warned against taking action regarding the surveillance balloon. Here's what the Pentagon revealed they discovered about the balloon and what the U.S. is being urged to do now. (read more) |
