Register for the 2/15 MVP Maintenance Feedback Webinar Public Health Emergency Resource Update Reminder: MVP Candidate Feedback Period Open until February 8 Register for the 2/15 MVP Maintenance Feedback Webinar The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is hosting a webinar on Wednesday, February 15 from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. ET to review the recommendations received to-date for updating the 12 previously finalized MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs) and to give the public an opportunity to weigh-in on those potential updates prior to rulemaking for the Quality Payment Program (QPP). Any changes to finalized MVPs will be addressed through future rulemaking. You can review the finalized MVPs on the Explore MVPs webpage. Please note: The MVP maintenance process doesn't include recommended changes to existing individual MIPS measures and improvement activities. Changes to individual MIPS measures and improvement activities are made through separate established processes, such as rulemaking and the annual Call for Measures and Activities, and would then be reflected within any finalized MVPs that included those measures and activities. Future MVP Maintenance Requests Future requests for changes to finalized MVPs should be submitted to PIMMSMVPSupport@gdit.com for CMS's consideration. At a minimum, please provide the title of the finalized MVP and a short description of the proposed change(s) by performance category as organized on the Maintenance Process for MVPs webpage. Public Health Emergency Resource Update On January 30, 2023, the Biden-Harris Administration announced its intent to end the national emergency and public health emergency (PHE) declarations related to the COVID-19 pandemic on May 11, 2023. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has resources available to help you prepare for the end of the PHE, some of which have been updated based on recent action by Congress. On December 29, 2022, H.R. 2716, the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) for Fiscal Year 2023 was signed into law. This legislation included an extension of the major telehealth waivers and the Acute Hospital Care at Home (AHCaH) individual waiver that were initiated during the PHE. We will continue to execute the process of a smooth operational wind down of the flexibilities enabled by the COVID-19 emergency declarations. Reminder: MVP Candidate Feedback Period Open until February 8 As described in the recent rule, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) broadened the opportunities for the public to provide feedback on MVP candidates before they're potentially proposed in rulemaking, beginning January 2023. Visit the QPP Website to review the 5 MVP candidates available for public feedback for a 30-day period. CMS will accept feedback on these MVP candidates through February 8, 2023. Please note that the posting of an MVP candidate for feedback doesn't guarantee the candidate will move forward in rulemaking. We'll display the feedback received for each MVP candidate on the QPP website following the 30-day feedback period. CMS won't respond directly to any feedback received but will review and determine if any recommended changes should be incorporated into an MVP candidate. If we determine changes should be made and that the candidate will move forward through rulemaking, we won't notify the group or organization that originally submitted the MVP candidate in advance of rulemaking.
