Since the forces that drove increased spending are beginning to wane, the American consumer, the engine of our economy, is beginning to pull back on purchases as a result of the generational high inflation. This is a dramatic reversal from the second half of 2020, when the American people pulled the economy out of a global depression. In spite of inflation reaching levels not seen in four decades, Americans spent more than they earned last year. The average annual increase in consumer spending during the entirety of 2022 was about 2% higher than inflation. This is in sharp contrast to the second half of 2020, when resilient Americans pulled the economy out of a worldwide slump. A woman in Seattle was in for quite the surprise when she returned home Friday evening. At around 7:15 pm, she arrived at her home to find that a window had been broken. The woman quickly realized that an unknown male was inside of her home and he was the reason for the smashed window. She was the victim of a breaking and entering and the burglar was still there. She called the police quickly, and officers announced their presence when they arrived on scene and ordered the man to leave the house. When he did not comply, officers stormed the home. The burglar was found in a bathroom, but it's what the burglar was doing in the bathroom when he was found that will make you shake your head. (read more) |

Six-month-old Ky'air Thomas of Ohio had only been back home one month after a kidnapping attempt when police responded to his family's home after a 911 call came in about an unresponsive baby. Thomas was transported to Nationwide Children's Hospital, but despite all of the efforts that were given, could not be revived. "Tonight we are living a nightmare with the community for a second time in less than a month. I'm questioning God, 'Lord why, Ky'air?' None of this seems real!" Ky'air's grandmother Fonda Thomas said. Ky'air's shocking death comes just over a month after he and twin brother Kason were the targets of a kidnapping. The twins were in the backseat of their family's car when suspect Nalah Jackson stole the vehicle. Here's what authorities know right now regarding the manner in which the child passed away.
