The Biden administration hasn't had the best of luck dealing with China or Saudi Arabia lately. Between human rights and oil production, the ties that bind us to them are straining. So, it's a little alarming when China and Saudi Arabia start cozying up and making deals. Especially deals that jeopardize the stability of the petrodollar. "That [abandonment of the petrodollar] is ultimately inevitable since China as the Kingdom's largest customer has considerable leverage," said Shihabi, "Although I do not expect it to happen in the near future." And though we can't expect it in the "near future," this partnership is bringing that moment inevitably closer. Washington isn't exactly happy about these developments, but there isn't much to be done. Here are the five biggest takeaways you can't afford to miss in this new alliance. (read more)

During a recent press briefing, Jean-Pierre was questioned about Sen. Jeanne Shaheen's (D-N.H.) irate reaction to President Joe Biden's support for a proposal to push South Carolina ahead of New Hampshire in the Democratic presidential primary process. Inadvertently, though, the press secretary, who is notorious for reading scripted responses from her enormous binder of notes, blurted off a response regarding the Hatch Act. "Oops. Sorry. I think I got ahead of myself here," she said. Watch the video below to hear the discussion regarding Jean-Pierre's recent gaffe. (read more)

There are several tech stocks available for sale at the moment. However, since those days are long gone, it is uncommon for tech startups like Virgin Galactic, Ocugen, and Fubotv to trade for 20 or 30 times their projected future revenues. Similar to this, there are no longer any businesses with solid business concepts, yet there is a lot of competition and high values. However, there are still some really overpriced IT stocks in circulation. Some of the epidemic darlings, excluding the crypto names, still have a long way to go. Other businesses that previously made a considerable impression are also having a tough time, and their shares may decline far further in the months and years to come. Here's a list of stocks to sell before the new year. (read more) |

A Florida man is facing charges on two counts of arson after deliberately setting a police vehicle on fire in Hernando County. Anthony Thomas Tarduno eventually admitted to officers that arrived on scene that he was the one who set the fire. Tarundo claims he was drinking at a local bar when he walked out at about 4:30 pm and saw the police cruiser parked nearby. He admitted that he was "intoxicated" at the time "and decided he'd like to set it on fire," according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office. The man reportedly grabbed a bag of garbage from a nearby dumpster, put it directly under the police vehicle, and lit the bag on fire. After setting the blaze, Tarundo returned to the bar to continue drinking. But he later returned to the scene of the crime to confess because he said he "felt bad." Here's what happened next and the excuse he gave officers for committing the crime. (read more)

The trial of 39-year-old interior designer Jade Janks began this week for the murder of her former stepfather, Thomas Merriman. Merriman's body was found in January 2021 underneath a pile of trash at the home he shared with Janks. He died after overdosing on sleeping pills that Janks reportedly gave him after she discovered nude photos of herself, one of which Merriman used as a screensaver. "This was no accident. This was murder by design," stated San Diego County Deputy District Attorney Jorge Del Portillo. Janks and her boyfriend took the consensual photos over a decade ago. Here's how Janks discovered that Merriman had the photos and the chilling texts she sent regarding what she was going to do to him. (read more) |
