Challenges and Opportunities in Home Health Quality Improvement In the third of four blog posts on the challenges of advancing healthcare quality, a member of AHRQ's National Advisory Council highlights the myriad challenges of improving home healthcare. Reliance on home-based care accelerated following COVID-19. However, the technologies, systems, expectations and social understandings around home-based healthcare remain imperfect. Quality improvement efforts must begin by addressing fundamental questions: What are we trying to improve? What makes home healthcare unique?
