J.D. Vance won the Republican nomination for Senate in Ohio on Tuesday, riding an endorsement from former President Donald Trump to the front of a crowded and chaotic field.
Vance is now a heavy favorite to win Ohio's open Senate seat in the fall against Democratic Rep. Tim Ryan. Current GOP Sen. Rob Portman is retiring.
Vance had 32 percent support when The Associated Press called the Republican primary, while Josh Mandel had 25 percent in second place and Matt Dolan was in third place with 22 percent. See here for full coverage.
