Over the weekend, I had an opportunity to hang out with one of my buddies.
As we were catching up over bourbon, he asked me a question with two possible answers.
"Which would you rather have?" he asked…
"A magic red pill that would make you 12 years old again, but allow you to keep all the wisdom and experience that you have currently…
Or, a green pill that would make you 45 years old, but with $100 million in your bank account?"
Now I don't know about you…
But I'd take the red pill all day long.
$100 million would be a great pay day, don't get me wrong.
But with time and knowledge, I KNOW I could do even better.
I'd use my "futuristic" knowledge to beat Jeff Bezos to the punch and create an online retail behemoth that would net me billions…
And I'd also invest millions into heavy hitters like Apple, Google, Netflix and Tesla, just to name a few.

But the biggest game changer would be to have an extra 25 years of compound interest to grow those investments.
I'd have a lot more than $100 million by the time I made it to 45.
Of course, this was just a fun thought experiment… but the lesson still remains.
