THE UPFRONT

Dear BoF Community,

Under designer Daniel Lee and CEO Leo Rongone, Bottega Veneta rocketed back to fashion, fusing heritage and hype to deliver one the fastest turnarounds in fashion history for parent company Kering. In the third quarter, sales were up 22 percent year on year, even as Covid-19 weighed heavily on competitors. How did they do it and can #NewBottega keep up the momentum without losing its "stealth wealth" appeal? In his first interview since taking the reins at the Italian brand, Rongone speaks exclusively to Robert Williams about the reinvention of Bottega Veneta and where it's headed. Plus, Robert Cordero examines how Bryanboy, fashion's original influencer, grew an audience of over 1 million TikTok followers in six months.

Today, we're also excited to share more of our plans for VOICES 2020 from December 1-3. No part of the fashion industry has been hit as hard as the retail sector. For Session 04 on Reinventing Retail, experts Doug Stephens and Rachel Shechtman are working with BoF to co-curate a session jam-packed with global innovators shaping the future of retail.  If you're a BoF Professional member, register here. If you're not, learn more and sign up for a 30-day trial to BoF Professional, which includes access to VOICES 2020.
