COA bares deficient confidential fund receipts sent by VP Sara's office

The Commission on Audit has confirmed that it received more than 1,200 

deficient acknowledgment receipts —with erroneous dates, unreadable names—from the OVP to justify its use of P125M in confidential funds in 11 days in December 2022.

Cagayan, Isabela brace for 'Marce'


Officials in Cagayan and Isabela provinces went on high alert on Tuesday as they anticipate heavy rainfall from Typhoon "Marce" (international name: Yinxing) ahead of its projected landfall over Babuyan Islands or Cagayan on Thursday. At least 17 towns and Tuguegarao City in Cagayan and most towns in Isabela suspended classes until further notice.
