Dear BoF Community,

It's been a challenging time for Kering, whose flagship Gucci label has suffered a prolonged slump. Now, after growing sales six-fold at the French luxury giant's Saint Laurent unit, Francesca Bellettini is co-piloting an attempt to turn things around at the group level as Kering's co-deputy CEO — and possible successor to chairman François-Henri Pinault — making her one of the most powerful businesswoman in fashion.

For the second of this year's BoF 500 Cover Stories, luxury editor Robert Williams spoke exclusively to Francesca Bellettini about her management philosophy, what's ailing Kering and the plan to get things back on track.
