Two employees of Donald Trump moved boxes of papers at Mar-a-Lago a day before the Justice Department visited the former president's residence to collect classified documents. The timing, right before FBI agents and a prosecutor visited the Florida resort to retrieve the records sought as part of a subpoena, was reportedly seen by investigators as a possible indication of obstruction. According to the publication, investigators have proof that the former president displayed sensitive information to others and left them in plain sight in his office. In addition, he allegedly performed "a 'dress rehearsal' for moving sensitive papers" with his staff before being called to testify in May 2022. The latest revelations come as special counsel Jack Smith, who is investigating Trump's handling of classified documents and possible obstruction of justice, has recently obtained new evidence that could undercut Trump's defense in the documents case. Pistol braces are a popular item among gun enthusiasts. They were originally designed in 2012 to help an injured veteran shoot more accurately, and have since increased in popularity. But thanks to Biden and other Democrats, pistol braces could soon be more difficult to own. Unless someone steps in and overturns the new ATF rule set to take effect on June 1, gun owners will be required to register their pistol braces with the ATF, destroy them, or remove the accessories from their weapons entirely. According to a press release, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has raised $8.2 million for his newly formed campaign since announcing his highly anticipated presidential bid. Using a campaign video and a conversation with Elon Musk on Twitter Spaces, DeSantis formally entered the 2024 GOP primaries on Wednesday night. The governor reportedly raised $1 million in the first hour and $8.2 million in the first 24 hours after launching his presidential campaign.
When South Carolina Senator Tim Scott launched his candidacy on Monday, he only managed to raise $2 million in the first 24 hours. DeSantis also had a better start than President Joe Biden in 2019. (read more) | |

A seventeen-year-old boy died Saturday after falling from a bridge in Los Angeles while he was attempting to perform a social media stunt. Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore said the teenager fell as he was climbing up one of the arches around 2 a.m. This makes the third victim to die on or near the bridge since it opened about 10 months ago. "Tragically we see that location, while it has spawned a great deal of pride in Los Angeles, it has also unfortunately served as a backdrop now for tragedies such as this," Moore said at a Los Angeles Police Commission meeting.
