University of Oklahoma donors have ceased their payments to the institution citing far-left biases and agendas, according to multiple contributors. The university medical school created a "diversity alliance" to ensure equity was incorporated at every level and aspect of the institution. Neurosurgeon, Dr. Christopher Boxell shared about the university's medical school, "I'm not happy with where they're headed. The diversity, equity and inclusion [agenda] I think is better named DIE for DEI because I think that's what's going to happen because of it." Dr. Boxell was concerned that the medical school at the university has strayed from picking the best and brightest to incorporating woke agenda into its recruitment and how that would impact patient care down the line. California Governor Gavin Newsom is expected to make a rather sobering announcement for the state of California soon. According to reports, Newsom will more than likely announce that California is not only one of the few states that will experience a budget shortfall this year, but things are more grim than anticipated. While the shortfall comes as no surprise, a projected extra $5 billion in losses does. Most of the shortfall and extra losses has been blamed on the stock market and the major winter storms the state experienced this year. Regardless who or what is to blame, what is Newsom's plan to fix it? (read more) |

On Thursday night, anti-fossil fuel climate demonstrators stormed the stage at Minnesota Democrat Senator Amy Klobuchar's book event, forcing her to flee the platform for several minutes before eventually leaving. Members of the group Climate Defiance seized the stage as Klobuchar was promoting her new book, "The Joy of Politics," at George Washington University, yelling, "be a climate leader, live your values." Klobuchar had to leave the stage because of the disruption. Activists interrupted the event multiply times before finally taking over the stage. (read more) | |

Even long-term investors who are primarily interested in the technology industry should consider dividends. The S&P 500 index has increased by around 830% during the previous 30 years, but the index's total return, which takes dividends into account, was over twice that amount. An excellent approach to investing in technology and yet receiving recurring dividend payments is to choose tech firms that pay dividends and are likely to increase those payouts over time. Here are two top-tier tech stocks whose dividends were increased this year. You should give each of them some thought. (read more) |

A man from Michigan won a substantial amount of money in a lottery pool made out of losing tickets, proving that you shouldn't write off second and third chances. The Michigan Lottery held a random drawing from among all of the non-winning tickets for a $6 million jackpot, and a 43-year-old man from Wayne County, where Detroit is located, won $100,000. A player who desired to remain anonymous stated, "I have been playing the $6,000,000 Jackpot game a lot, so when I learned there was a second chance component to the game, I figured I might as well give it a try. I got an email from the lottery one day informing me that I'd won a $100,000 prize in the second chance drawing and I thought it was a joke." But it was no joke. Now the player is laughing all the way to the bank. (read more) |

According to his autopsy, Detroit neurosurgeon Dr. Devon Hoover, 53, was shot twice before he was dragged into the crawlspace of his mansion. Hoover was shot once behind his right ear and once more in the back of his head. Police arrived at Hoover's residence on April 23 after he missed a family function and they requested a welfare check. "Preliminarily, our investigation reveals that this is an incident where the two parties knew each other. We have no reason to believe the community is … at any risk. This was not a random act," Detroit Police Chief James White said. Here's what police know about the person of interest who has since been released from an unrelated charge. (read more) |
