Now Available: 2023 MIPS Resources Now Available: Telehealth Indicator for Doctors and Clinicians on Care Compare Now Available: 2023 MIPS Resources The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has posted new 2023 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) resources to the QPP Resource Library. 2023 MIPS Quality Measure Specifications The following documents, which provide comprehensive descriptions and details on 2023 quality measures, are available: 2023 MIPS Quality Measures List 2023 Medicare Part B Claims Measure Specifications and Supporting Documents (zip) 2023 Clinical Quality Measure Specifications and Supporting Documents (zip) 2023 Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) Measure Specifications 2023 Cross Cutting Quality Measures (zip) 2023 MVP Quality Measure Specifications for Quality IDs 110 and 111 (zip) The 2023 CMS Web Interface Measure Specifications and Supporting Documents (zip) are only for SSP ACOs reporting the APM Performance Pathway (APP) as part of the Shared Savings Program. As a reminder, the 2023 Electronic Clinical Quality Measure Specifications have been available on the Electronic Clinical Quality Improvement (eCQI) website since May 2022. These resources provide an overview of finalized policies for the 2023 performance year of the Quality Payment Program. Now Available: Telehealth Indicator for Doctors and Clinicians on Care Compare The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) added a new telehealth indicator on clinician profile pages on Medicare Care Compare and in the Provider Data Catalog (PDC). The new indicator helps beneficiaries and caregivers more easily find clinicians who provide telehealth services. Telemedicine services expanded in response to the COVID-19 public health emergency to improve patients' access to care. Last year, CMS reported a 30-fold increase in telehealth services, with more than half of Medicare beneficiaries utilizing them between March 1, 2020 and February 28, 2021. The telehealth indicator is the latest example of CMS's efforts to ensure Care Compare provides beneficiaries and caregivers meaningful information about services they value as they search for clinicians.
