Oil and water don't mix. And neither do EVs and water. It's a lesson being learned at a grand scale in southwest Florida during the Hurricane Ian recovery process. "There's a ton of EVs disabled from Ian. As those batteries corrode, fires start," Jimmy Patronis, the state's top financial officer and fire marshal tweeted Thursday. "That's a new challenge that our firefighters haven't faced before. At least on this kind of scale." Is this a portent of things to come as more and more electric vehicles hit the streets across the nation? (read more) |

"As I've said before, no one should be in jail just for using or possessing marijuana," Biden tweeted Thursday. "Sending people to jail for possessing marijuana has upended too many lives — for conduct that is legal in many states. That's before you address the clear racial disparities around prosecution and conviction. Today, we begin to right these wrongs." Those were the words of President Biden as he took the biggest federal step toward decriminalizing the drug. But there's a catch. This is most definitely a deliberate attempt to campaign ahead of declaring a 2024 run. Because there are exactly ZERO people sitting in federal facilities for just "simple" marijuana possession. But his push to get state governors to do the same could paint a different picture. Here's what we know about the potential impact of this move so far. (read more) |

Recommended Link: Life in America is not as it seems… And thanks to recent unprecedented decisions by a strange force of unelected officials… Americans may now experience a level of financial insecurity and suffocation of freedoms bigger than the crisis of 2000…2008… and 2020 - COMBINED. Months from now we may look back to – this moment – as the end of the middle class. Stephen Roach, a former chairman at Morgan Stanley, says: "U.S. living standards are about to be squeezed as never before." Newsweek says: "[This] Will Be The End of American Freedom." And HuffPost says: "[This] Is Making The Rich Richer, and Leaving You Behind" But a new "boots on the ground" investigation reveals Americans will be forced to make a drastic decision… Become one of the 'new poor' in America… Or 'the new rich'. While everyone else could end up in "Permanent Recession". |

Hunter Biden appears to be on the verge of being prosecuted for federal offenses. A federal inquiry of the president's son was launched in 2018 by Trump-appointed US Attorney David Weiss of Delaware. According to reports, Hunter Biden may have committed offenses involving taxes and the possession of a handgun. In terms of specifics, the inquiry is now focused on two offenses. According to the Washington Post, federal agents believe Hunter Biden may not have disclosed income from several of his international transactions. Furthermore, it is thought that he purchased a handgun while using illicit substances on a regular basis. Tensions in the case have been growing for quite some time. (read more) |

It's challenging to be a timid investor right now. We are descending further into a bear market, with the market down more than 22% this year, and growth companies are setting the pace. Even if the market continues to decline, it's probably in your best interest to be a net buyer rather than panic selling some of your growth stocks or rejecting them entirely. Before dismissing that concept as ridiculous, consider these three reasons to continue investing. (read more) |

A Florida woman is now facing murder charges after being accused of stabbing her own sister to death. Fatiha Marzan, 21, reportedly stabbed her sister in their Orlando home on September 26. The two shared a bedroom. Marzan allegedly called 911 after the crime and admitted to stabbing her sister. When authorities arrived, the sister was already dead. Marzan stabbed her at least three or four times in the heart. Authorities say the act was deliberate and premeditated, as Marzan said she waited to attack her sister when the rest of her family was asleep so they wouldn't know what was going on. Marzan also bought a knife set two weeks prior to the attack for the sole purpose of stabbing her sister. She hid the set in the closet until the night of the attack. And while those chilling details will leave you shaking your head in disgust, the reason Marzan gave for killing her sister will shock you.
