What happened yesterday in the Jan. 6 hearings can best be described as political theater at its finest. Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson took the stand and made some pretty wild accusations about former President Trump lunging for the steering wheel to wrest control from Secret Service agents to get to the Capitol in order to join in the march with protesters. But Secret Service agents are already standing up to clarify that what she's saying simply isn't true. What else did she claim and how full of holes is her testimony just one day later? (read more) |

Kamala Harris is taking heat from the left after claiming she was fighting hard for women's rights. Harris posted a photo of herself on her private jet while watching the news. The caption detailed how Harris is fighting for women's rights in the wake of the recent Supreme Court ruling overturning Roe v. Wade. But critics quickly lashed out, calling the social media post tone deaf. And it's clear that Harris is using the current political issue as a way to try and improve her image among Democratic voters. It's no secret that Democrats are struggling to keep their base happy. If things continue this way, November will be even worse for the party than originally thought. (read more) |

A common tactic used by market players to build portfolios is investing for income. Who doesn't like getting paid, after all? Moreover, an income stream lessens drawdowns within investments during periods of general market weakness. Most of the S&P 500 companies pay dividends, demonstrating their stability with reliable financials and profitable business methods. Companies known as Dividend Aristocrats continuously pay dividends to investors and raise the amount of their payout each year. Here are 3 Dividend Aristocrats that have displayed a practical level of defense throughout 2022, further nailing the fact that these companies can weather nearly any storm. One groom found himself in a very odd situation when a mix-up ended up putting his future bride's wedding dress six feet under. It all happened when his fiancée's grandmother passed away. She wished to be buried in her wedding dress, so the bride's brother and her fiancé were tasked with picking up the dress from a wardrobe in the mother of the bride's house and taking it to the funeral home. But unfortunately the pair took the wrong dress, as the bride's wedding dress was also in the wardrobe. The pair delivered it to the funeral home and the grandmother was buried in her granddaughter's wedding dress. Apparently there was not a family viewing before she was buried. Realizing the mistake before the bride found out, her future groom called the bridal shop where she ordered the dress and begged to purchase a new one of the exact specifications. Unfortunately, the special order gown could not be guaranteed in time for the wedding. So, how did the bride react when she discovered the news? And what did she wear walking down the aisle on her big day? (read more) |

Thirty-eight-year-old Carmen White from Houston is facing a capital murder charge in the death of her sister, Cynthia Cervantes. Cervantes was shot multiple times before being dumped at the end of a dirt road and set on fire. Surveillance video revealed White's vehicle at the location where the body of Cervantes was found. White's ex boyfriend told police that White had contacted him and offered him sexual favors if he would help her dispose of a body. He revealed that White took him to a vacant unit below her apartment and showed him the body that was wrapped in a garbage bag. He says he declined her request and asked her to take him home. White then resorted to getting her 13-year-old son to help her move the body. He said she instructed him to pick up the unknown bagged item, but that he dropped it because it felt like human legs. He refused to assist her, but said she became extremely aggressive towards him and he feared what she might do to him. The boy says he then agreed to help for fear of his own safety. So, what was it exactly that transpired between the two siblings that drove White to murder her own sister? (read more) |
