As it turns out, there is something worse than killing someone and worrying you might get found out. A South Carolina man is believed to have strangled his girlfriend. The only problem is that he had a heart attack while burying her in the backyard. Police were called to the scene when neighbors reported an unresponsive male lying in his yard. Once police arrived and tried to revive him unsuccessfully, they found the second dead body. Poetic justice, anyone? (read more)

I'm telling you guys, you can't make this stuff up. There was simply no shortage of the weird and cringe-worthy things that came out of our President's mouth. And I'm going to restrict my "round up" to things he said yesterday. First, as you can see in the video above, he talked about tasting our disappointment. And he did it with that creepy pseudo-whisper thing that he's become famous for. Though I'm not sure what disappointment tastes like, I'm sure it's anything but pleasant. Later, when asked about his plan for the energy crisis, he fessed up and admitted that they have no plan. After this same speech (where he essentially blamed Republicans and Putin for all of his economic woes) he was asked about Senator Rick Scott's call for him to resign. The timing was pretty perfect for the question since he had called out the Senator in the self-same speech. But did it while forgetting which state Rick Scott actually represents. This is kind of sad because if he'd gotten it right, it would have been a great time for a "Florida Man" joke. "Resign?" Biden responded. "That's a good idea." Yep, that's how he initiated his response. All gaffes aside, this was a day where first you laugh, and then you cry. Because that's when you remember that this is the man in charge of our nation. Presumably until 2024. After that, who knows who'll be on the ticket. I just hope it isn't Meghan Markle. (read more)

Biden's antics in attempting to reach an agreement with Iran are well-known. He basically handed Iran whatever it desired. These actions demonstrated weakness and anti-American prejudice. Iran refused to engage with Biden, thus Biden and Obama were obliged to use an intermediary. They went with Russia. Why is America taking steps that appear to be tantamount to appeasement? What makes the Biden administration so keen to reach an agreement that ensures Iran's nuclear capability? The United States will slip behind other growing superpowers at this rate. This is a significant risk for all Americans. (read more)

A terrifying situation unfolded yesterday while a pilot and a passenger were flying into Florida. About 70 miles from their destination, the pilot suddenly became sick and was not coherent enough to fly the plane any longer. The passenger radioed air traffic control for help. "I've got a serious situation here," the Cessna Caravan passenger said. "My pilot has gone incoherent. I have no idea how to fly the airplane." The air traffic controller asked for the plane's location, but the passenger was unable to provide the information. "I have no idea," the passenger said. "I can see the coast of Florida in front of me. And I have no idea." Air traffic control asked the passenger, who has no experience flying an airplane, to "maintain wings level and just try to follow the coast, either north or southbound" so they could try to locate the aircraft. The plane was finally located about 25 miles north of Palm Beach. Once located, the passenger prepared for a landing attempt. So, what happened next and how did the nail-biting situation end? Thirty-eight-year-old Pennsylvania mother, Trinh Nguyen, had planned a week in advance to kill her children before shooting and killing both of her sons as they slept in their beds. The boys – Jeffrey "JT" Tini, 13, and Nelson Tini, 9 – died on Friday after the incident. Recent evidence reveals that Nguyen had scribbled a handwritten will dated for April 25th telling the recipient what to do with her children's cremated ashes. She didn't say much during her arraignment on Monday in court, and it is unknown if she has an attorney who might speak on her behalf. Nguyen's next-door neighbor, Gianni Melchiondo, said he went to investigate after he heard gunshots and found Nguyen outside. He revealed she handed him a box of photos, asked him to give it to her ex-husband, who he worked with, and then pointed a gun in his face. While investigators did not reveal a motive for the shooting, they did discover Nguyen had a rocky relationship with her ex-husband's family. (read more)
