For those who aren't in the know, H Mart is a supermarket chain that dishes out a ton of Asian food. Instead of an "exotic" or "foreign" aisle at a vanilla supermarket, H Mart has a ton of Korean finds and K-beauty as well! Zauner's aptly titled book is such a unique perspective growing up in a mixed household and trying to balance these two, at times, irreconcilable worlds.  Check It Out I read this a 2 - 3 years ago, but it's basically a dystopian thriller set against the backdrop of the Chinese Cultural Revolution that engulfed China back in the late 1960s. It's pretty hardcore stuff, but a good book if you're into sci-fi, aliens, and politics! Written by a former Stanford lab researcher, it's a good book for those interested in learning more about mental health and wellness! Check It Out Chung's book of being adopted by her Korean parents, and growing up in Oregon is a great synopsis of the intersection of race and heritage in the U.S. It's a fab read for anyone looking to get insight on life as an adoptee and the many challenges inherent with that.
