Deadline Extended: OWH Prize Competition!

EDC Disruptors Challenge 2

HHS Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals (EDC) Innovator Award Competition: Register and apply by Jan. 31, 2022

The HHS Office on Women's Health (OWH) recently extended the deadline for a $1.3 million cash prize competition to recognize programs that increase understanding of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and their risks. Research shows EDCs, which interfere with the body's hormones and are linked to adverse health effects, disproportionately impact Black or African American women. To address this disparity, OWH will award cash prizes to programs that improve understanding of the risks associated with EDCs and offer populations served effective resources and solutions for how to mitigate their EDC exposure risks.
