 OWH's New Challenge to Address the Impact of Endocrine Disruptors on Black or African American Women

The HHS Office on Women's Health (OWH) recently announced a national competition to award $1.3 million in cash prizes for innovative methods designed to advance health equity among Black or African American Women. Learn more about the challenge below.

HHS Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals (EDC) Innovator Award Competition

Endocrine-disrupting chemicals interfere with the body's hormones and may cause adverse health effects. This OWH competition will recognize programs that address knowledge gaps in understanding the risks associated with EDCs and provide solutions to reduce EDC exposure risks for Black or African American women.

  • Submission deadline for Phase 1 of the competition is November 15, 2021.
