When a stock breaks out, it always means something.

If it's at a new high, that's significant. It's never been there before.

Either it's the beginning of something monstrous or it's the end of the line.
New highs can make people clamor to be on board and push the stock into the stratosphere or they can be the time when traders say, "That's enough for me."

Either way, a breakout is a big moment.

But are some moments bigger than others?

Are some breakouts more powerful than others?

While it's by no means a guarantee, when a stock breaks out on a big green bar, that means the move is powerful and it might be ready to run.

Take AMAT, for example.

On March 26, AMAT was a Profit Zone recommendation as it broke to high ground.

But notice how the breakout bar was a big green one:

AMAT ended the day closing at the top of its range.

Then, on March 31st, it broke out again and the Call option was eventually sold out at a 78.1% gain.

Not every breakout looks like that and not every big breakout will work.

But it sure is nice when it happens.
