2020 VET policy initiatives now on timeline

The Timeline of Australian VET policy initiatives has been updated to include 2020 initiatives.

COVID-19 has had a major impact and influence on the education and training system and its policy landscape. This is reflected in the number of initiatives implemented in 2020 in response to the pandemic.

2020 also saw the commencement of some of the national initiatives announced in 2019 that came out of the recommendations made in the Joyce review.

The updated timeline now provides information about national, state and territory government programs and policy initiatives covering the last 23 years. Together with other products in the VET Knowledge Bank, it provides access to historical and current VET information and contributes to an understanding of Australia’s VET system.

Less than three weeks left to submit your abstracts

'No Frills' turns 30 in 2021 and we intend marking the occasion with an exciting program, including some celebratory 'frills'!

This year's theme is Past informing the future and we are seeking abstracts covering a broad range of issues including how can the past inform the future, what's changed and what role can VET play in our economic recovery?

We invite presentations that discuss changing technologies and its impact on skill development, and flexible approaches to delivery in a changing context.

This is a great opportunity for practitioners and researchers alike to showcase their research and knowledge through presentations, focus sessions, and discussion groups.

Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, we’ve decided to hold this special anniversary event fully online and every effort will be made to maximise networking opportunities during the conference.

Presenters will be also given access to the full virtual conference experience at no cost.

LESS THAN 3 WEEKS LEFT! Submissions close Monday 1 March 2021 so submit your abstract now!
