Democrats are one seat away from winning the Senate majority after Raphael Warnock defeated Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler in a Georgia runoff, with the state's other Senate runoff still too close to call.
The overtime races will determine how much of President-elect Joe Biden's agenda Democrats can pass later this year, but Democrats need to win both seats to achieve a 50-50 tie, which Vice President-elect Kamala Harris could then break. GOP Sen. David Perdue and Democrat Jon Ossoff are battling for Georgia's other Senate seat.
