Subscribe Now WHAT I'M LOVING NOW Gideon The Ninth and Harrow the Ninth of The Locked Tomb Trilogy — $16.19     In Gideon, two not-quite-friends with undeniable queer energy, along with a cast of eight other necromancers and their sword-bearing cavaliers, descend on a decaying palace riddled with dangerous secrets after being summoned by the Emporer to take on the challenge. I inhaled the first two books of the trilogy (here's the link to book two, BTW!), which are packed with emotion, humor, adventure, mystery, and a unique brand of gore, in about three day's worth of spare time each. They're the first books since Harry Potter that so many of my friends have read and love to talk about, and we can't wait for book three. Oh, and if you want to shop on Bookshop instead, here's the link for that! Rothy's Flats — $125 I got this pair of flats in 2017 and reviewed 'em back then, but I recommend them any chance I get. Name any OTHER brand of flats that you can wear up and down the streets of NYC for three years and have them look (and smell) basically the same as they did on day one. They're comfortable, breathable, machine and hand washable, and while they have basically no arch support, I've used 'em with these inserts with no problems.  Socks That Protect the Arctic by Conscious Step — $14.95 My WFH outfits vary: some days I wear dresses, others I go for jogger pants, while still others I happily slip on a pair of jeans because they help me feel like life's a little more normal. But one key component of any outfit? Socks to keep my toes warm! And while I only have a couple of pairs from Conscious Step, they're super soft, cozy, fair trade certified, have extra cushion in the toes and heels, come in cute prints, and each pair benefits a different cause! Poo Pourri — $11.30 Okay, yes, this has been a long time favorite product at BuzzFeed. But in quarantine, my S.O. and I have moved in together, which means we've also started sharing a bathroom on a much more regular basis than before. After a couple of months, it became clear that we needed something that would actually work to cover up poop odor, and STAT. So I turned to this spray-before-you-go essential oil concoction. And yes! It does exactly what is says it does. Thank goodness.  ON MY WISHLIST These gorgeous embroidered Otomi face masks from a super cute San Antonio boutique I can't believe I didn't know about when I lived there.  Vanilla Rooibos tea for pairing with a little Jameson on super chilly winter nights. A fuzzy yellow cardigan to keep the sunshine around even after the actual sun sets at 4:30. A floral jigsaw puzzle because even though I've done SO many puzzles this year, how can you pass up one as pretty as this? A coffee-scented candle to satisfy my craving for a hot cup even though I gave it up years ago. Some gold and silver geometric stud earrings I could probably leave in most of the time, unlike all the statement pairs I hardly ever wear WFH.
