CBSN Originals - The QANON Effect
The latest episode of the CBSN Originals' Reverb series explores how the growing support for conspiracy theories is fueling doubts about our democratic process and the threat the evolving movement may pose post-election.

Since its beginnings as a fringe conspiracy theory in 2017, QAnon has falsely alleged that the world is run by a nefarious group, or cabal, of global elites who operate a child sex-trafficking ring. Dozens of people that have expressed belief in or support for the theory ran for federal office in 2020, and two were elected to Congress.

Reverb | The QAnon Effect dives into how QAnon has taken root amid challenging times and a growing distrust in American institutions, and what it means for the future of the country.
