Hi there. Marcos says he and Cabinet are combing 2025 budget bill for insertions
"Item by item, line by line" of the 2025 budget bill is being scrutinized by the President and Cabinet officials to weed out insertions that were not part of the original proposal submitted in July, given "a lot of changes" made to the program since then.
On the House committee's recommendation to charge ex-President Rodrigo Duterte and several others for crimes against humanity in the war on drugs, the President said it's up to the Justice department to assess the findings.
Yet another impeachment complaint has been filed against VP Sara Duterte, the third such raps for her alleged misuse of secret funds, this time filed by a group of Catholic priests, Mindanao-based lawyers, and leaders of civic and laity organizations.
Francisco "Dodong" Nemenzo Jr., renowned political scientist and one of the leading Marxist scholars in the country, has died at 89. Before serving as 18th president of UP from 1999 to 2005, Nemenzo was first and foremost a political activist. The US faces a looming partial shutdown that would disrupt everything from air travel to law enforcement in the days leading up to the Dec. 25 Christmas holiday after Republican President-elect Donald Trump rejected a stopgap bill.
