The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is launching a new webinar series on Improving Preventive Care in Early Childhood. The webinar series will focus on opportunities for state Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) programs to improve delivery of developmental and lead screenings, immunizations, and early oral health interventions, during well-child visits in early childhood. The webinar series will be followed by an action-oriented affinity group in the spring of 2025.

Participants will hear from CMS, state Medicaid and CHIP programs, and subject matter experts on approaches to promote preventive care through well-child visits and address barriers to care. CMS invites all interested staff from state Medicaid and CHIP programs, along with their Medicaid and CHIP managed care plans, pediatric providers, public health agencies, and other quality improvement partners, to take part in the Improving Preventive Care in Early Childhood webinar series.
