Through this amendment, the state wants to expand the current ability to reimburse for acute inpatient stays in hospital IMDs to include individuals diagnosed with serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance. This amendment will expand access to care for new populations and it will close a gap in Wisconsin's continuum of crisis and mental health services. This amendment will amend Wisconsin's BadgerCare Reform 1115 waiver, complimenting the existing residential substance use disorder demonstration project also approved under that waiver. The federal comment period will be open from December 23 2024, through January 21, 2025.

Pending Application
